Discover Our Journey
& Be A Part Of It

Since 2019, Brian and Rayeder Massie have been foster parents. When praying for wisdom on where and how to serve God, He revealed a great need to serve right here in their backyard –  through foster care. Since answering the Lord’s call to become foster parents, they have been blessed to served over 10 children in their home.

When asked the best part of their fostering experience, they said “Speaking life and love into the precious children. Having the opportunity to show them safe and secure attachments; watching them develop and build nurturing relationships; oftentimes getting to maintain a relationship with the children and biological families. It has grown our world tremendously!”

The Foster Tree's Plan

HOW IT WORKS: Families put in a request for items that are critical during those first months of foster care placement, which include such items as car seats, strollers, beds/bedding, and highchairs. After families put in a request, they are provided care packages, which consist of a 7-day supply of age-appropriate clothing, new shoes, diapers/underpants, socks, hygiene items and a children’s bible. As you may know, most children only come with the clothes on their backs. On top of trying to meet the essential needs, foster parents have many appointments to make in the first 3 days of an emergency placement. This is where The Foster Tree can step in and help carry the load (“Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2) by equipping families in the first moments of foster care placement.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works."
